EDIH.li meets in Schaan: making AI useful at work

The partners of EDIH 2.0 for Liechtenstein and the four-country region of Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Austria and Germany met in Schaan for the first time. After winning the EU call, the kickoff focused on a simple question: where can we help businesses and public organisations with their everyday work?

Workshop participants in conversation

A shared starting point

The partners gathered in Schaan on 10 and 11 September 2026 to discuss services, collaboration and initial customer priorities. The Grant Agreement is expected to be concluded in October. Preparations are already under way.

The customer’s task comes first

We decided against creating additional fixed product bundles. Sectors and specific tasks provide the starting point: finding information, preparing a report or identifying missing evidence. The relevant services and specialists can then be selected from the network.

Less effort, an outcome people can check

Construction, healthcare, municipalities, financial services and trust businesses offer different settings. Many small teams share the same pressure on their time. An initial trial should use a real workflow to test whether effort falls and the result can be checked reliably. These sector priorities provide a starting point for customer conversations.

Three questions to begin

What is occupying your team at work, and where are you already using AI? Which recurring task would you like to make easier? What would a first trial need to demonstrate to be worthwhile, and who needs to be involved?

Access to demanding work

One discussion concerned the wider benefit to society: helping small organisations with demanding documentation tasks. Simple tools can make information accessible and highlight gaps. The relevant people remain responsible for professional judgement.

One contact, relevant support

One partner leads the conversation and brings in specialists when needed. A brief summary records the need and the next step. The full Digital Maturity Assessment remains a separate step. Eligibility, prices and available capacity are checked before an offer is made.
